Our processing facilities are designed to produce superior quality pickled food products in a controlled environment. Every step of the process is monitored for cleanliness and quality.
The cherry peppers, patty pans and jalapeños are washed, cored and processed. Sorting and grading removes the imperfect specimens before they are sent for pickling.
Following secondary processing and final grading, only the pick of the peppers, patty pans and jalapeños remain. These are sealed in bulk foodservice pouches and a limited number of glass jars for retail purposes.
The final products are boxed, palleted and stored until they are ready to be shipped via sea freight around the world. Our automated tracking and storage software gives full product traceability.
Our factories are staffed by motivated and committed teams operating under an internationally certified system. Carara and its subsiduary companies strive to maintain the highest possible standard of health and safety in the workplace. We are WFSO ISO 22000 or HACCP certified.
